Peggy Haas
Peggy Haas, in addition to appearing regularly in musical
productions for the Children's Theatre, is active in
a wide range of civic and charitable activities in her native
San Francisco. At the time of Lynx Racing's founding,
her now-ex husband was a driver in Jim Russell Racing School
series at Laguna Seca Raceway. She herself had no background
in auto racing, but when approached by Jackie Doty in 1990
with the idea of forming a team to help young drivers who
had no money or connections, she responded with a long-term
commitment.
"The challenge of actively assisting a few extraordinary
individuals to achieve their dreams is something Jackie and
I find extremely rewarding" states Peggy. "We are
committed to, by whatever means possible, to prepare, inspire
and motivate our driver towards achieve the excellence of
which we know they are capable. We are interested in developing
the right combination of qualities, including speed, personality,
attitude and a willingness to learn, that are required to
be a champion. Not just an Atlantic champion, or even a Champ
Car or Formula One champion, but a champion in Life"

Jackie Doty
From the first time I was a little girl out in Abilene, Texas,
I wanted to drive race cars. My mother took me to a Hot Rod
race when I was very young and I was hooked. Racing was simply
not a logical career choice for me at the time. I went on
to more realistic careers but in my heart, my dreams stayed
alive. It was a small flicker of a dream but it was still
there, waiting to be nourished.
In 1987, time and circumstance presented me with an opportunity
to pursue my dream. I attended the Bob Bondurant Racing School
when it was at Sears Point Race way in Sonoma, California.
I flew from Texas to California to chase a childhood dream,
not knowing at the time that the series of events I set in
motion would culminate in the creation of Lynx Racing.
After the Bondurant school, I attended the Jim Russell Racing
School and drove in their graduate series. At one of the races
I met Peggy Haas, a woman who would become my friend and business
partner.
I loved driving race cars but I lacked the talent to pursue
racing beyond a hobby. When one doors closes, the Universe
opens another. I may not have been a talented race car driver,
but I discovered another talent which would keep me in racing.
Lynx Racing's expressed purpose is to help fund and train
young drivers, not only to reach for their dreams but also
to get in touch with their inner-self which will provide them
with strength and guidance throughout their lives.
Lynx Racing has given me an opportunity to not only help
others, but also to help myself. With each new driver, I re-discover
the well of strength that exists inside of all of us who have
the courage to face our fears, follow our bliss and give ourselves
over to a dream.
